About Musikeli: Georgian Singing Workshop & Concert
The Republic of Georgia is home to one of the world's greatest singing traditions, famous for its thrilling harmonies and rhythmic skill. At short notice, a rare opportunity has come up to hear, and even sing with, a visiting Georgian group.
Musikeli, a six-part male ensemble from Samgrelo in northwestern Georgia, will be in Glasgow on Friday 12 May as part of their first UK tour, performing and workshopping at the "yellow door church" in Govanhill. Don't miss the chance to experience this unique singing style straight from the tradition-bearers, and even have a go yourself. No previous knowledge is needed and all are welcome!
