About Acrylic Painting Workshop: Cloch Lighthouse

Learn to paint with acrylic paint by following a step-by-step approach by tutor Neil G. Smith.

Participants will start their painting by sketching with charcoal, and adding acrylic paint will create a simple base on which to work upon. First, using a monochromatic method, we will build up the initial picture using only tone and shade. Once we have created a piece using light and dark, the colours will be added, focusing on colour matching and mixing paint.

The group will see and be part of the whole process of understanding how a painting can be created in clear stages.
