What can you expect from Big Fun? We offer a variety of activities, including early years workshops, soft play sessions, participatory activities for parent and child, community networking for lone parents, educational games and activities for young people. Our focus is on improving access to health and wellbeing for children, developing networks to tackle isolation with lone parents and increasing access to outdoor community spaces.
Why do we do what we do? The community we represent includes many in Scotland’s 10% most deprived areas (SMID) and face many social and economic challenges. We found through community consultation that there is little available in terms of early years activities and financial aspects are a huge barrier for engagement. We want to provide an affordable and accessible option for families in the area to come together and have fun.
When can you join us? Our events will take place across the school summer holidays. Hour-long soft play sessions will be held throughout the program. We will also have early years sessions held by local heroes such as Giggle N’ Grow, Bookbug and Move Dance Grow.
Please note the soft play is for those 2 years and under. An adult must accompany the child at all times.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
