In celebration of Bernat Klein: influence & inspiration, and High Sunderland: the restoration of a modernist house by Loader Monteith, we are hosting an exclusive evening with dinner and three fantastic speakers.
Guests will be welcomed to the Bernat Klein: influence & inspiration exhibition in the Studio Pavilion for arrival drinks, with a welcome talk by Alison Harley (Chair, Bernat Klein Foundation). Following this the evening will move to the Mackintosh Suite to be seated for a delicious 3 course dinner, offering a modern twist on a menu inspired by Rosie Small (as seen in the BKF Centenary Book). Dinner will be served with accompanying wines, and will close with a talk from Lisa Mason (Assistant Curator, National Museums Scotland). Once coffee is served the evening will finish with words from Iain King (Senior Conservation Architect , Loader Monteith, Architectural Practice), offering an informative talk on High Sunderland: the restoration of a modernist house, and an opportunity to view the exhibition first hand. Each of our speakers will offer the chance for Questions and Answers on their specialised area, providing a unique insight into their connection with Bernat Klein, and the exhibitions.
Included: Arrival drinks reception, 3 course menu with tea & coffee, ½ bottle of wine with dinner and 3 exclusive speakers with the opportunity for Q&A.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
