We are delighted that so many of the groups who participated last year will be joining us again, and there will be exhibitors/activities that are new for 2023!
Events will include storytelling and creative activities from The Village Storytelling Centre, ideal for the little ones. We’ll also have a number of conservation and wildlife stalls and activities with Froglife, Butterfly Conservation and Scottish Badgers.
There’ll also be the chance to try out some traditional musical instruments – maybe you’ll discover a new talent?!?
If you’ve not had chance to try the fabulous new tennis courts yet, the Newlands Park Community Tennis Centre will be hosting free tennis coaching sessions – no experience necessary, just come along and have a go!
The 29th Scouts will be running the catering stall again, providing a selection of hot and cold refreshments.
New this year, the 46th Guides will be face-painting, so you can channel your inner superhero or turn your little monkey into a …little monkey?
Another new activity for this year - St John Scotland will be offering the opportunity to try CPR and learn about defibrillators. Come along to find out about live-saving skills!
If you’re after a bit of retail therapy, there will be stalls raising funds for St Margaret’s Church and the Beatson. Other stalls will feature a tombola and a book swap.
We are delighted that the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service are planning to attend the fête again this year. Not surprisingly, they were a huge hit last year; after all how often do you get the chance to sit in a fire engine?
We hope to see you there!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
