The weather so far has been working in a foragers favour and there's fungi everywhere! So why not join us to learn about natures selection of gourmet plants & mushrooms as well as which ones to avoid!
The diverse grounds at the Craigengillan Estate include both new and ancient woodlands, pasture, wetlands heaths and lochs and are an incredible place to forage!
Following an introduction to the Countryside ACT and foraging sustainably, our informative instructors will lead the way on an (approximate) 2.5hr walk teaching you how to identify various plants, flowers and mushrooms. You'll have the opportunity to taste our lovely, foraged Elderflower champagne and a seasonal Wild Food soup! The day will finish with a lovely seasonal wild food feast complimented with some of the foraged goodies found that day!
(All full list of finds and recipes will be emailed to you after the course.)
