The latest singer/songwriter in a long line of Scots with Italian blood, PG ‘Phil’ Ciarletta has been making a name in the music scene with his distinctive vocal tone, relatable real-life lyrics, rousing anthemic melodies, cheeky character and undeniable stage presence.
From writing songs in his bedroom to playing on stages across the UK, from Edinburgh to Liverpool, a lot has changed for the emerging Scottish act in the last few years. Born in Fife, but now with a growing footprint across Scotland, PG Ciarletta delivers a catchy feel-good euphoric indie, alternative Scottish vibe, with such sound linking to a vast range of musical influences including Gerry Cinnamon, Jake Bugg, The View, and Paolo Nutini.
Features include coverage on Radio X, whilst Bonnie Toun was selected as BBC Radio Scotland’s Afternoon show track of the week. Whilst debut single The Sesh topped the UK iTunes alternative chart, 27 was aired on Match of the Day 2, and he has been selected as a Resonate Scotland artist of the week.
