About Tristan Gooley: How to Read a Tree
Natural navigator Tristan Gooley knows how to uncover the phenomena in the outdoors worth looking for. A bestselling author, he has spent decades hunting for clues and signs in nature across the globe, and has been nicknamed ‘The Sherlock Holmes of Nature’. He helps us discover the simple principles that explain the shapes and patterns we see in trees and what they mean. We can learn rare skills that can be applied every time we pass a tree, whether in a town or in a wilder spot, and gain the knowledge to uncover the secrets of the surrounding Scottish landscape.
