Best selling author Sophie Gravia's debut novel 'A Glasgow Kiss' shot straight to number one best seller on the Amazon charts garnering thousands of five-star reviews. Her second book, 'What Happens in Dubai' also held the number one spot on release from pre-orders alone, and since then, Sophie has amassed a cult following in her home city of Glasgow.
Fans of the funny, frivolous, (sometimes filthy) and fabulously frank dating disasters narrated by hilarious character Zara Smith were buzzing when Gravia's third novel 'Meet me in Milan' was released in August this year, and it not only held the number one spot in the charts but became an instant Times bestseller! The novel is the last in the series for her legendary character, and Sophie’s determined to let her go out with one hell of a festive bang! (no pun intended).
Meet Sophie, ask her everything you want to know about writing in a special party hosted by Gravia herself.
You’ll enjoy a fun fuelled festive afternoon celebrating with Sophie in the gorgeous surroundings of The Doubletree Hilton. Welcome cocktail is included on arrival from Zara’s favourite gin brand Whitley Neill and munchie box styled platters will be presented on the tables for a typical Zara Smith style scran! Sassy sounds will be provided with a DJ set, followed by live music from Connor Fyfe and other acoustic singers.
Guests will automatically be entered into a prize draw at the end of the night and one lucky winner will be named as a character in Gravia's next novel.
The event is generously sponsored by Whitley Neill and will be held on Sunday 3rd of December 2023.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
