"The best solution is to keep our clothes in action, whether that’s by us or by a brand-new owner." - Lauren Bravo, How to Break Up with Fast Fashion
If responsible consumption and waste reduction is important to you, then this is the event for you. As well as getting rid of some clothes that no longer serve you, there's the opportunity for you to swap them for something you love that will work hard in your wardrobe, all while supporting Diamonds Scotland.
Diamonds is a faith-based charity that exists to equip and empower young women to value themselves and to lead well with influence and integrity in all areas of society. We do this through producing online content and resources and running events and conferences for young women around Scotland.
How it works:
Bring a maximum of 8 items of clothing, footwear or accessories freshly cleaned and ready to go on the rails/tables. We want sustainable style to be as inclusive as possible with sizes ranging from 6-22/24. This event is ideal for ages 16 - 100!
The event will run a point system where we accept items from high street up to high end. All items must be clean and in good condition with no holes, stains, rips, broken zips, or scuffs.
Items not permitted:
Swimwear, underwear, nightwear, earrings or sharp objects.
What’s included in my ticket:
*A soft drink/mocktail on arrival (the bar will be open should you wish to buy any other drinks)
*The chance to refresh your wardrobe
*Access to some Diamonds merch and a few stalls with local indie businesses.
Please note: We stagger entry to avoid overcrowding and reduce your waiting time when checking in. Please arrive at the time stated on your ticket - thank you!
