Join artist and workshop leader Usma Ashraf to create, decorate and play with shadow puppets, inspired by our current exhibition, Idols of Mud and Water by Ramesh Mario Nithiyendran (at Tramway until 21 April), and traditional Tamil shadow puppetry (or Tholpavakooth).
This free workshop encourages all ages to get involved in making, decorating and performing with shadow puppets. Make up your own stories full of mythic monsters, heroes and heroines and guardian spirits, or design beautiful figures to decorate your home or give as gifts. Dorp in any time between 1pm and 3pm
Recommended for ages 4+
Young children should be supervised by a parent or guardian.
Keep your eyes peeled for more events and workshops in the coming months as part of our public programme.
