Scientific Shorts
Midday - 3.30pm
Join for a very special screening of science and research short films in St Mungo Square, brought to you by the ARC and Glasgow Science Festival. Showcased films include the ARC’s Spotlight on Research video series, made by the ARC’s resident videographer Charlotte Reid, plus a short documentary on polar bears by the Open University. There’s more to be announced soon, so stay tuned for updates.
Family Fun
3.30pm - 5pm
Join Buzz Lightyear on a space adventure at this very special, family-friendly, outdoor screening of Disney Pixar’s Lightyear in St Mungo Square brought to you by the ARC and Glasgow Science Festival. Lightyear | Angus MacLane | 105 mins | PG. While spending years attempting to return home, marooned Space Ranger Buzz Lightyear encounters an army of ruthless robots commanded by Zurg who are attempting to steal his fuel source. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Summer Screening
7.30pm - 9.30pm
Experience a space mission at this very special, outdoors screening event of Gravity starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney in St Mungo Square brought to you by the ARC and Glasgow Science Festival. Gravity | Alfonso Cuarón | 91 mins | 12. Dr Ryan Stone, an engineer on her first time on a space mission, and Matt Kowalski, an astronaut on his final expedition, have to survive in space after they are hit by debris while spacewalking. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. No one younger than 12 may see this 12 rated film at this screening unless accompanied by an adult.
