In From Laird to Shared: Glasgow’s Landownership and Alternative Futures, we’ll unravel the intricate tapestry of landownership in Glasgow, exploring its contemporary ramifications and showcasing the inspiring efforts of those working to take ownership of their local land.
The evening will include a diverse panel of community activists, academic and community landowners, alongside music and spoken word. There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion from the audience as we untangle the complex picture of landownership in Glasgow.
Guests for the evening include:
Martin Avila, CEIS and former Director of Kinning Park Complex
Professor Stephen Mullen, University of Glasgow
Maggie Morrison, Inchinnan Development Trust
Steg G, Sunny Govan
Iona Macleod, Govan Docks Collective
Johnny Cypher, rapper, activist and educator
Hannah Rarity, vocalist and songwriter
So mark your calendars and join us for an evening of enlightenment, empowerment, and envisioning alternative futures. From laird to shared, together, we’ll chart a new course for Glasgow’s landownership landscape.
