Classes take place in our fantastic bespoke Art Room and are facilitated by one of our dedicated hospice artists.
What to expect
You will have access to a range of quality art materials and will be supported in developing your own art practice with an emphasis on relaxation and wellbeing. Sessions are tailored to each individual and are suitable for complete beginners and those with more experience.
The hospice’s Creative Arts Service has a long-established creative approach in delivering high quality art sessions for patients, carers and family members. And we’re delighted to now be able to offer this exclusive service to members of the public.
Our artists are all Fine Art graduates highly experienced in working in the arts and health sectors.
Quote from a participant: “The artists bring the best out of everyone. People from all walks of life come along. It’s a very special room and a lot of magic happens there. The staff are fantastic and there’s no pressure. I think that’s the most important thing. It never ceases to amaze me what people can achieve, it’s very inspiring.”
A six-week block of two-hour weekly sessions costs £144. This includes tuition and quality art materials.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
