“They like each other very much. Don’t you think we should tell them?”
“My boy- they’d never believe us!!”
When Amalia meets George, sparks fly – in the opposite direction! He thinks she’s stuck up and she thinks he’s arrogant. Their constant bickering contrasts with the sensitive letters each writes to their anonymous ‘lonely hearts’ pen pal. But would things be different if they ever discovered they’re actually writing to one another….?
Adapted from the same source as You’ve Got Mail, this adorable comic musical from the writers of Fiddler on the Roof bursts with heady romance and was nominated for five Tony® Awards when it premiered in 1964.
This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International. All authorised performance materials are also supplied by MTI.
