Waterstones Sauchiehall St is thrilled to welcome Olympic-medal-winning Javelin thrower, former BBC Sports Personality of the Year winner and children-in-care campaigner Fatima Whitbread, who will be signing copies of her debut children's book My Bright Shining Star from 12pm Sunday 29th September.
This stunning semi-autobiographical picture book is a powerful tribute to love, kindness and the potential in every child. Drawing on Fatima's early years in the care system, it offers an inspiring message on finding hope and encouragement when times get tough, and provides a touching message on the transformative impact one luminary person, or act of kindness, can have on the lives of others.
