This Saturday, 21st September, we welcome you to our community venue to take part in two fun and free upcycling workshops! Drop in any time between 1-4pm and get involved:
Workshop 1) Upcycle food packaging into a durable waterproof zipper pouch: choose a plastic onion or potato bag design you like, a zipper, lining fabric and make a simple pouch that you can store pens, coins, or other useful bits and bobs.
Workshop 2) Craft and bind your own paper notebook from upcycled paper scraps.
All materials will be provided and you will have instructors to guide you through the process. The workshops will run in parallel and you will get a chance to participate in both.
If you don't feel crafty on the day, you can still come by to learn more about our unique community venue with seating made from pianos, have a chat, grab a cuppa and cake, and take a wander through the park.
This event is part of the Doors Open Days weekend and Springburn Tour. Earlier in the day (11am-12:30), we will be hosting a scripted performance inspired by local history in collaboration with Jack Dickson and Springburn Winter Gardens Trust, followed by a soup lunch. All free, all welcome!
Follow our Instagram or Facebook to stay up-to-date. We hope to see you this weekend!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
