Craft Under the Mast

Craft Under the Mast is a series of social, creative workshops for young people aged 18-25, taking place weekly at the Tall Ship Glenlee this October!

Craft Under the Mast

About Craft Under the Mast

Join us for four free evenings of relaxed, hands-on crafts loosely inspired by the rich history and design of the Tall Ship Glenlee, led by artist Phoebe Leach. If you’re looking to meet new people in Glasgow, come along and get creative in a friendly, welcoming environment.

Sessions are totally free. You can book a spot in advance or just turn up. Come to one session – or all of them!

Session information

Thursday 3 October, 6.30pm – 8.30pm: Linoprinting

A collaborative Lino printing workshop exploring the varied timeline and uses of the Tall Ship Glenlee.

Tuesday 8 October, 6.30pm – 8.30pm: Collage
Unleash your inner Matisse at a collaborative workshop to create a colourful large-scale map of the ship.

Thursday 17 October, 6.30pm – 8.30pm: Monoprints
It’s a total one-off - this workshop explores the techniques of monoprinting, creating a series of single, completely unique prints - and ghost prints.

Tuesday 22 October, 6.30pm – 8.30pm: Canvas: then and now
Hoist the sails! A workshop inspired by the use of canvas throughout time. Stretch it, stitch it, paint it – it’s totally up to you.

Further information
All craft materials and refreshments (including gluten-free and vegan snacks) provided.

This is an alcohol-free event.

Access information
The Tall Ship Glenlee has an accessible toilet. There is a lift on the ship but there are a few areas on deck that are not accessible to wheelchair users. Full accessibility information can be found on the Tall Ship Glenlee website.
