Joining us in the Sleazy basement on Thursday 24 October is…
Goodnight Louisa
With a synth pop sensibility all her own, Goodnight Louisa is the creatively fertile project of Louise McCraw. Brimming with emotion, raw lyricism and melodic hooks you’ll find yourself humming for days, her darkly dramatic sound was bristlingly captured on debut album Human Danger in 2022.
Health And Beauty
Formerly a member of breakout indie act The Ninth Wave, Calum Stewart’s latest musical venture finds him crafting energetic dance music with earworm melodies and skittering beats. Elation is at the heart of these songs, buttressed by pulse-racing drums, a quivering falsetto and 80s-tinged guitars.
chizu nnamdi
A project by Chizu Anucha–an Igbo Nigerian-Scottish audiovisual artist who revels in looping rhythms. Their songs are laden with stretched out vocals and laidback guitar playing comparable to Mac DeMarco, conjuring dreamlike romanticism and a sense of social consciousness wrapped in positivity.
Tickets are (quite reasonably) a tenner for this night of exciting new music. Come along, grab a drink and get some great tunes in yer ears.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
