Festival favourites and Scottish trad legends Peatbog Faeries return to Celtic Connections with their trailblazing mix of traditional sounds and dance-floor grooves!
About Peatbog Faeries and Ampouailh
Drawing upon a dazzling array of influences, from jigs and reels to dance music, jazz, and more, they bring the sound of Scotland, fresh-faced and breathless, to a captivated audience.
The band’s mainly instrumental music develops exciting themes and exhilarating soundscapes, locking in their trademark hypnotic sounds no one can resist dancing to. Expect a no-nonsense, feel-good atmosphere as they fill the Tramway with the unlikely blend of fiddle, highland pipes, and soaring techno rhythms.
Support comes from Ampouailh, a Breton instrumental five-piece whose latest album, Dasson, sees them weave a modern musical texture while remaining faithful to their essential convictions: dance, exchange, and transmission.
