About Contemporary Collage - Creative Abstract Collage Course For Beginners

Art Classes in the Botanics presents: CONTEMPORARY COLLAGE - CREATIVE ABSTRACT COLLAGE FOR BEGINNERS a six week course where you will discover the vibrant world of contemporary collage!

Ignite your creativity and learn essential techniques that will elevate your projects time and time again.

COURSE CONTENT:
+ how to get the most out of your images
+ how to deconstruct images and how to combine them
+ how to work with shape, scale, texture, pattern, typography and colour
+ how to create balanced compositions
+ how to layer your work
+ all levels welcome - beginner to advanced

All collage material will be provided, so all you will need to bring is:
- a scalpel and blades
- a metal ruler
- some pens and pencils
- a sketchbook

COURSE DATES: 14th Nov, 21st Nov, 28th Nov, 5th Dec, 12th Dec, 19th Dec 2024
The course takes place over a period of 6 weeks, every Thursday from 6-8pm.

TUTOR INFO:
Sasha Shalmina is a Scottish based multidisciplinary artist.
She studied BSc Hons Architecture at Strathclyde University in Glasgow.

After spending 5 years within the graphic design industry,
she decided to become a full time artist.

Sasha has since been featured in House & Garden Magazine and had some of her work
exhibited at art fairs at the Saatchi gallery in London, in Amsterdam and also at the Louvre in Paris.

She has recently been featured in the Paris Collage collective artist directory and her work has also been published in Contemporary Collage magazine.
