Shaking up the traditional shopping experience with the chance to browse and buy from a line-up of pre-loved fashion traders, local designers and independent brands, Off The Rails will take over the top floor of YOTEL Glasgow at 260 Argyle Street once a quarter.
The first-ever Off The Rails event is a ‘Sparkle Spree’, which will take place on 14 November combining shopping and socialising with the very best sustainable brands and a side of sparkling cocktails, delicious snacks and a live DJ.
Guests can literally shop until the beat drops and expect a one-stop shop for festive ‘fits, gifts and anything that sparkles with hundreds of rails, curated by Scottish brands with responsible fashion credentials including Isolated Heroes, Secondhand Wonderland, Pure Barkin, Peachy Threads as well as accessories from Nixie The Store, Glasgow Trinkets Co. and Little Peril Studios.
Bringing the popular world of online second-hand shopping to life, Glasgow fashion and lifestyle influencers will be bringing some of their own pre-loved clothing to sell.
Offering a totally unique experience, a YOTEL room will transform into the ultimate dressing room with glitter make-up artists on hand as well as styling workshops from Sustainable Stylist and colour expert, Style Me Flawless will be on hand to share your ideal sparkle - gold, silver or rose gold.
Euan Wilson, Food and Beverage Manager at VEGA Glasgow, said: “We’ve been so excited to announce Off The Rails and bring a fresh way to shop to Glasgow, with a more social-shopping experience. With the shift towards supporting local and buying pre-loved, we know there’s a demand for a way to shop more sustainably and Christmas felt like the perfect time to launch it - party season is fast approaching!
“We’re still keeping it VEGA by combining the shopping experience with great cocktails and live music- so sign up now and get the disco-lift up to get down with us (and Scotland’s best independent retailers) for Off The Rails this month.”
Off The Rails is free to attend and attendees can sign up on EventBrite. To find out more about VEGA, visit vegaglasgow.com.
For those that want to make the most of the night can book a room at YOTEL Glasgow. Rooms start from £85.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
