Beginning in 2022, the Glasgow Bach Cantata Project is an exciting venture aimed at bringing the glory of J.S. Bach’s 200 + cantatas to Glasgow. Under the Musical Direction of Michael Bawtree and Frikki Walker, the project is bringing together some of the best players and singers from Glasgow and beyond to perform as many of Bach’s cantatas as possible over the coming years.
We are excited to be welcoming our patron, Professor John Butt, to direct this concert.
BWV 71 Gott ist mein König
BWV 89 Was soll ich aus dir machen, Ephraim
BWV 11 Lobet Gott in seinen Reichen (Ascension Oratorio)
