The awareness roadshow is nation-wide, and has the aim to spread awareness of bowel cancer and its symptoms.
Roadshow Locations
19/11 - The Forge Shopping Centre
20/11 - Glasgow Central Station
21/11 - St Enoch Shopping Centre
The event will include interacting and fostering meaningful conversations with the community around the topic of bowel cancer, such as: Completing the FIT (screening programme age), Know/recognise the symptoms and go to GP (all), Know what should happen when you visit GP. Furthermore providing leaflets containing important information about bowel cancer and how the charity can help support individuals. Also offering a tour around the inflatable bowel, which is the centre point of the roadshow. It is a walk-through inflatable replica of the human bowel that demonstrates the various stages of bowel cancer.
Benefit for the local community is to provide information and support about bowel cancer. With the hope to improve bowel cancer screening uptake and outcomes.
