Proceeds will be used to help fund the work of Short Attention Span Theatre (SAST), which took its first bow in 2015 – dedicated to supporting new voices in theatre.

SAST regularly performs programmes in Ayr, Cumbernauld, Glasgow and beyond – giving audiences the chance to enjoy a magical mix of comedy, drama and thought-provoking themes in their local community.

Tom Brogan, co-founder of Short Attention Span Theatre, said, "We're delighted to be hosting a fundraising comedy night, which will feature a fantastic line-up for just £10 a ticket.

"It's a chance to enjoy a great night-out while supporting grassroots theatre. Please come along."

SAST regularly works with a range of new and emerging writers, as well as a stellar cast of professional actors.

* Elaine Malcolmson is an award-winning comedian, writer and actor, who has worked for – and appeared on – various TV and radio shows. She has performed all over the place – including the Glasgow International Comedy Festival, the Edinburgh Fringe and the New York Comedy Festival. Currently a regular on BBC Scotland’s Breaking the News, you may recognise her as Penny from BBC’s fantastic Soft Border Patrol.

"Full of comedy life” The Skinny
“A downbeat delight” The List
“A terrific and unique stage persona” Broadway Baby

* Amanda Dwyer has a deadpan delivery alongside a wicked sense of humour. She regularly performs at comedy clubs all over Scotland and is the creator of the Material Girl comedy show at The Stand Comedy Club, Glasgow. Amanda also provides tour support for Tom Stade.

"She’s Death Valley dry, but she’s deceptively warm’ The Wee Review

* Hailing from Coatbridge, via a short stint in Derry, Mick Cullen arrived onto the scene in late 2022 after finally deciding to embrace his natural ability at being a class clown. Mick has been entertaining audiences across Scotland with his stories about being a bald man in his mid-30s, while giving the world a glimpse into how that big round head of his works.

* David Bratchpiece is a comedian, actor and writer who has performed stand-up comedy around the UK, and written for TV and radio. In 2021 he co-authored the critically-acclaimed book ‘Brickwork: A Biography of the Arches’.
