FOLKMOSIS is Perth singer-songwriter Beth Malcolm’s second album and a musical coming-of-age story.
Initially commissioned by Celtic Connections and developed in association with Perth Theatre And Concert Hall into a stunning, three-act multimedia performance, FOLKMOSIS embraces traditional and new songs, film and the spoken word; the story bending and twisting against a shifting soundscape.
Named Scots Singer of the Year in 2022, Beth Malcolm has toured extensively under the banner of traditional music, and here she’s supported by some of Scotland’s finest musicians from the folk and jazz scenes.
A singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer from Co. Down, Matt McGinn crafts songs that are a personal representation of his life experience. He has released several successful singles and albums, earning praise from critics and fellow musicians alike, and his upcoming work features songs co-written by Paul Brady, Foy Vance to name a few.
