Come along to see the repertoire both bands have been working on this semester, as well as some Christmas tunes. It promises to be an evening of festive fun to start off the season right.
Established in 1990, Strathclyde University Concert Band (SUCB) is composed of current students, staff, and alumni of the University, as well as students from other institutions. Each year they perform several concerts, and in recent years have received prestigious awards at the National Concert Band Festival, the Scottish Concert Band Festival, and international events under the guidance of their Musical Director, Chris Mitchell.
Formed in late 2012, the Strathclyde University Jazz Orchestra (SUJO) is a student-led, student-directed music ensemble dedicated to the performance of jazz, popular and contemporary music.
