East Belfast. 8th September 2022. The Queen has died.
All Union flags are to be flown at half-mast…which is a big job in East Belfast, there are literally thousands of them.
But when Bobby and Caroline, a deeply patriotic couple, question the background of a council worker ‘man-handling our fleg’, a dark obsession takes hold of Bobby…
FLEG is an absurdist comedy by Meghan Tyler exploring extreme loyalty and the romanticised notion of the Union.
Written by MEGHAN TYLER
Directed by DOMINIC HILL
Set and Costume Design KENNY MILLER
Sound Design MICHAEL JOHN McCARTHY
Lighting Design ROBBIE BUTLER
Presented in association with the Citizens Theatre
Originally commissioned by A Play, A Pie & A Pint
