SOVIREZ
Greenock Funk and soul band Sovirez formed in 2019, quickly honing an infectious sound and establishing themselves as a high energy and impactful live act. Sovirez have had regular radio play (BBC Introducing Scotland, BBC Rapal, Amazing Radio UK/USA plus many more), and their single “Stadium Heights” was chosen as single of the week in April 2022 for BBC Radio Scotland’s “The Afternoon Show”.
The band have had notable support slots with the likes of Callum Beattie, Wrest, Mickey 9s, Brownbear, Blue Rose Code & Sam Greenfield, as well as sold out headline shows at small venues across Scotland.
2025 sees the band playing at festivals and shows with further single releases planned for throughout the year.
Sovirez is a love letter to classic funk & soul with all the energy of modern dance and pop. This combination results in songs that will stick in your ear for a long time and a live show unlikely to be forgotten.
SONNY LETO
Scots-Italian funk and soul singer-songwriter Sonny Leto embarked on his new musical journey at the start of 2023 and formed a 9-piece outfit based in Glasgow. Inspired by an eclectic mix of older and contemporary influences ranging from Chic to Thundercat to Kevin Parker, Sonny's sound is blend of pulsing funky backbeats with dreamy sounding vocals and synths.
Sonny has continued releasing a run of singles in first half of 2023, 'Learn to Love Without You', 'Ecstasy' and '(Don't) Forget About Me', each with their own official music video.
THE FUNKY RED PANDAS
The Funky Red Pandas are Aberdeen’s award-winning and funkiest funk band.
Inspired by James Brown, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, The Cuban Brothers & Jamiroquai, The Funky Red Pandas put the fun in funk.
Winners of Aberdeen’s Eruption Battle of the Bands 2023 (featuring 98 bands from across the North East), The Funky Red Pandas will fill your furry lugs with their infectious brand of original funk music peppered with funky covers.
