On Wednesday 29th January it’s time for another instalment of Blackfriars’s weekly Wednesday comedy night, Just One More Laugh. Featuring (and curated by) Darren Connell, this week’s show has bagged the legendary Ray Bradshaw headlining, with support from Pierce Higgins.
Ray Bradshaw is an international multi award winning comedian who has sold out shows in more than 15 different countries around the world. He has numerous TV and radio credits both here and abroad, and recently became the first comedian ever to win a Scottish Culture Award as well as the first Brit to win an Adelaide Fringe Award for his show Deaf Comedy Fam. Ray has been support act of choice for some of the biggest names in comedy, including John Bishop and Frankie Boyle.

★★★★ – Ed Fest Mag
Hosting the show will be Darren Connell, an acclaimed actor and comedian from Springburn. He’s best known for his role as Bobby in BBC Scotland’s hit comedy Scot Squad, for which he was nominated for a BAFTA. Since being persuaded by Kevin Bridges to take up comedy full time, he’s been in high demand both on and off screen, having sold out shows at comedy festivals, hosted popular podcasts and been nominated for awards.
“Extremely likeable.” – Chortle
“A dark talent that feels like it's going places.” – The Scotsman
“A gritty, dry Scottish sense of humour.” – Broadway Baby
Opening the show will be Scottish comedy rising star Pierce Higgins, as seen on hit viral vid series Jamaica Street. He was recently support act of choice for Gary Faulds at Glasgow’s Pavillion Theatre.
“Hilarious” – Gary Faulds
“What a performance, he helped save the show.” – Comedy Dundee
Plus shorter sets from Claire Hutchison and Alvin Bang.
