Evening course introduction to clay and making functional pieces using hand-building techniques. Suitable for beginners, you will be guided each step of the way and over the course of two weeks you will have made a two or three piece set.
Learn how to slab-build whilst making your own jug or vase and practice pinch pots to hand sculpt your own bowl and spoon.
Your pieces will then dry in the studio until they're ready to be fired. You can choose a single glaze colour for the studio to apply to your pieces, ready for collection in approx 2 weeks. Alternatively, book the add-on glazing class if you'd like to return to paint your own pieces and learn about layering multiple glazes for additional dimension.
This is a great course for beginners to build confidence with clay and if you'd like to continue your new craft after the course, we offer membership to our open access studio.
Please note that this course does not involve wheel-throwing.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
