Hear the Chapel Choir sing a service of Evensong marking the feast of Candlemas. Led by the Honorary Anglican Chaplain and the Chapel Choir.
Including music by William Byrd (c. 1539–1623), Herbert Howells (1892–1983) and Johannes Eccard (1553–1611).
Traditionally, the second term of the academic year in Scotland’s Ancient Universities was called Candlemas, named for the feast marking the presentation of Jesus at the Temple. Led by the Honorary Anglican Chaplain and the Chapel Choir.
