Due to popular demand, Ian Johnston will be giving a repeat talk about his book on the history of the Fairfield shipyard in the Fairfield Boardroom where some of the history of this famous Glasgow shipyard was made. We will have copies available to buy at the talk.
Fairfield, along with his previous books about the John Brown and Beardmore shipyards, completes the history of the 'big three' Upper Clyde yards as it was at the early part of last century and represents a significant contribution to the history of shipbuilding and marine engineering on the Clyde.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
