Trio Pastorale is a young ensemble founded by Lalleh (Flute), Laura (Oboe) and Isabella (clarinet). Six months ago, they decided to form their own trio following their previous work together in a wind quintet. Since then they have curated a programme which included works by Gustav Holst and Malcom Arnold to perform at the Governors competition, at which they were awarded first prize.
Serica Trio is a dynamic and emerging ensemble formed in July 2024 by three passionate and talented RCS music students, each dedicated to bridging Eastern and Western musical traditions. Drawing its name from Serica, an ancient term that evokes the rich cultural heritage of Asia, the trio embodies the smooth, flowing essence of silk—an elegant metaphor for the seamless fusion of diverse musical worlds.
Programme:
Paul De Wailly - Aubade
Gustav Holst - Terzetto
Alexander Von Kreisler - Three Pastels
Malcolm Arnold - Divertimento
Russell Peterson – Trio no.1
Pierre Max Dubois – Les Tréteaux
Chick Corea (arr. Russell Peterson) – Spain
