8-Week Mindfulness Course – Fridays 25th April to 13th June, 2pm to 3:45pm
Do you need more time for yourself, space to breathe, techniques for bringing more calm and clarity back into life?
Mindfulness
Happiness is a skill. This is what the ancient practice of mindfulness teaches, and what modern psychology research has shown. The wonderful thing is that this skill, just like driving or dancing, can be learned, and it can stay with you for a lifetime.
* Learn the fundamentals of Mindfulness through an accredited teacher with the support of a group;
* Learn accessible techniques for Mindfulness in daily life;
* Receive weekly handouts with tips for home practice and links to online meditations;
* Connect with other meditators and mindfulness practitioners from your local area.
8-Week Course
This course includes both modern psychology and ancient meditation. We will investigate how mindfulness works, the qualities of mindfulness, how to practice (a range of techniques), investigating thoughts and habits, turning towards difficulty, watching suffering dissolve, the power of kindness and interconnectedness.
At the end of this 8-week course you will have a foundation in the skills of mindfulness, compassion, and meditation, and know how to apply them in your life in a way that really makes a difference.
“I’m already noticing big changes in myself. Several members of my family and friends have noticed as well, and commented on how much happier I seem. It’s amazing, and I feel so much more ‘alive’. I’m so glad I came on your course – it’s one of the best things I’ve ever done”.
About the Facilitator
The course will be delivered by Fi Clark, who has over 25 years’ experience in meditation and mindfulness, and has completed a thorough 3-year training course with Breathworks to become an accredited Mindfulness Teacher. The Breathworks course adopts an internationally recognised approach to using Mindfulness to help manage pain, stress and health. Fi has also trained with many well-respected teachers from around the world and has accumulated years’ experience of silent retreats, the longest being one month. See testimonials from previous participants below.
Is this Course for You?
This course is for anyone who wants to live life fully. It is for people who experience anxiety, stress, and for anyone who wants to make the most out of life.
There are limited spaces on the course, and it’s important to be able to commit for the duration of the course. In order to make the most of the course, you need to create time throughout the week for formal meditation practice (around 20 minutes a day), mindfulness in daily life practices, and to read the material provided. The reading material is optional, but it will enhance understanding and support your practice.
Cost, Venue and How to Book
The cost of the course is £135 including the course book, workbook and online guided meditations. It will be delivered from Jivakarama, 72 Berkeley Street, G3 7DS, near Charing Cross and Kelvingrove Park.
Please contact me, Fi Clark, on 07462 419 262 or by e-mail to BodyWisdom108@gmail.com for more information and to book.
