Tummy Monster kicks off at Glasgow Film Theatre on May 1st, with a UK tour throughout the month. This darkly comic psychological thriller follows self-absorbed tattoo artist Tales (Lorn Macdonald), whose obsession with fame spirals out of control after an encounter with an international popstar (Orlando Norman) and his minder (Michael Akinsulire).
In his directorial debut, Glasgow-based filmmaker Ciaran Lyons crafts a gripping, low-budget film that balances humor with tension. After a selfie request goes wrong, Tales is pulled into a bizarre and dangerous game that threatens to destroy everything.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with director Ciaran Lyons and actor Lorn Macdonald.
