Extending from Glasgow Green to Clydebank, developing 12 miles of modern quays and 500 miles of railways, Glasgow became the greatest sea port in Scotland. And the world centre of shipbuilding. The docks were the busiest and most important in the UK throughout WWII.
The new illustrated book Glasgow Harbour is being published by Amberley on April 15th; following the success of Graeme’s book about Glasgow’s Blythswood.
The talk takes place in the fantastic Blythswood Hall of Renfield Centre, in partnership with the Old Glasgow Club.
