Transmit Ceramics Studio offers access to a creative space to learn new skills and meet other creative people. We provide pottery classes and craft workshops taught by experienced Tutors and Artists for adults and children of all ages and abilities.
Children's Saturday Pottery Classes
Fun and interactive weekly Saturday pottery classes suitable for children aged 5-14yrs old.
Children are encouraged to learn the handbuilding techniques and skills to make handbuilt items such as pinchpot monsters and animal sculptures aswell as develop their imaginations with freeplay and experimentation with clay. Children will also get the chance to use the pottery wheel with tutor support and guidance.
They will then paint their pieces which will then be fired and glazed ready to be picked up the following week.
Parents and carers are welcome to join in with the fun too and make with clay at no extra cost.
All materials and tools provided.
Clay can be messy so aprons are provided aswell.
There are 3 classes available throughout the day -
11am-12.30pm - £12.50pp
1pm-3pm - £15pp
3pm-4.30pm - £12.50pp
Evening Pottery classes for beginners
Learn the pottery skills and techniques to create your own ceramic art and functional ware through tutor guidance and support. Glazing techniques and specialzed techniques can be taught on request. Suitable for complete beginners and those who have some experience of working with clay and would like to learn more.
Every week on a Monday and Thursday
6.30pm-8.30pm

Throwing on the pottery wheel for beginners
Each week you will develop the skills and techniques to throw the perfect pot on the pottery wheel with Tutor guidance and support. You will also be taught the finishing techniques, including how to turn and glaze your pots.
Every Wednesday evening
