Flip Out sets young artists a design challenge

Flip Out Glasgow, has launched an appeal for creative and imaginative primary school pupils across Glasgow to take part in its mural competition to win one-months free jumping for their whole class.

The Rutherglen arena which this month launched its new Inflataflip – a huge indoor inflatable area – is appealing to primary schools in Glasgow and the west to help bring its empty wall space to life.

Alongside the Infataflip area, is a 15m black wall which pupils are being challenged to create something big and bold to make the area stand out. Each pupil in the winning class will then get a one-month free pass for the arena.

George Gallacher, general manager at Flip Out, said: “What better way to bring our new Inflatflip area to life than by asking local young talent to do so. Since we opened, we’ve worked closely with schools, so it seemed only natural to give them the blank canvas to show off young artistic talent. We can’t wait to see what students come up with!”

Flip Out Glasgow is one of the world’s biggest trampoline arenas and is home to Inflataflip, a Ninja Warrior obstacle course, ultimate wipe-out, soft play and of course trampolines.

Schools have been head over heels for the arena since it opened. Since 2017, Flip Out Glasgow has offered schools 18,500 hours of free jumping. Additionally, Glasgow schools have frequently opted for Flip Out as a prime choice for school trips, allowing students to swap their traditional playgrounds for 170 trampolines.
