VEGA, illuminating the top floor of YOTEL Glasgow, hosted Scotland’s Instagram & TikTok glitterati including Laura Gilmour, Nathan Kerr, ex Love Island contestant Wallace Wilson and Hannah Simpson, as the stylish venue celebrated its opening over the weekend.

Every detail of the striking new destination bar, restaurant and neon-lit bowling alley has been designed to wow and light up guests’ social media feeds. From a world-first immersive disco lift, extraordinary views and the glossy Instagrammable interiors, the must-visit day to late night venue is now welcoming guests from today (Monday, 19 July) as part of a phased soft launch plan with 50% off food until its official opening on Wednesday 28 July.

Designed by global award-winning studio, DESIGNAGENCY, the stunning 13,700 sq. ft. rooftop space has capacity for 282 guest and uses bold contrasting flooring with wood and monochrome patterns, dramatic lighting and a combination of neon blue and pink hues to create a visual focal point within the venue.

With a modern Art Deco look and futuristic feel, the daring interiors feature eye-catching pink and blue high backed woven chairs, elegant and comfortable multi-coloured pastel seating with materials such as natural woods mixed with marble and slate used throughout the venue.

All of the lighting designs, installed by Artin, have been created to to take you on an immersive and interactive journey. First impressions count as guests step into a one-of-a-kind disco lift for an explosive digital experience that plays on the contrast of darkness, light, sound and reflection to deliver an out-of-this-world trip up to VEGA.

Meanwhile, their fun neon-lit four-lane bowling alley entertains guests with its animated ceiling projections, arched ceiling details and bespoke visual lighting effects that are triggered with the movement of bowling balls - believed to be a world first.

Operated by hotel group YOTEL, the sophisticated venue has set the bar sky-high with unparalleled city views, an exciting all-day casual dining concept with tasty sharers, high-quality small plates alongside irresistible hand-spun boozy shakes and imaginative Insta-worthy cocktails served seven days a week.

Vibrant programming lies at the heart of VEGA, with the city’s hottest DJs set to bring the party. Kenny Grieve AKA ‘The Wasp’, former Radio 1 supported artist Jay Gunning and Groove City’s Attic Room Radio resident Jay Celino are some of the top creative talent that will soundtrack your weekend.

Euan Wilson, Manager said “Our crew have been working incredibly hard over the past few months adding the finishing touches to our menus and getting the venue ready but now it’s time to show Glasgow what VEGA is all about. There’s nothing quite like us in the city and with our ambitious plans and abundance of energy, it is beyond exciting to be officially opening our doors and welcoming our first guests into the space.”

The venue will be offering a 50% discount on food during its soft opening taking place between 19 – 27 July. Limited spaces are available and can be booked via their website. VEGA will officially open on 28 July.

Bookings are now live at vegaglasgow.com.
