Online bookings are now live for their opening weekend which is jam-packed full of live entertainment, drinks and party vibes.
Bringing their trademark urban style to Glasgow, fun lovers will enjoy their fully immersive destination bar which is a sensory explosion from the minute you enter.
Opening their 2nd of 10 planned Abandon Ship Bars throughout the UK, you’ll not miss the striking new flagship venue either - located in the heart of the city on Mitchell Street, which has an eye-popping neon-lit frontage in the windows with a huge custom slogan ‘Not Everything Sucks’ sign guiding you into the bar.
The 3500 square feet lifestyle space has been designed by Scottish female designers Astrid Carleton and Amanda Davies to create a colourful laidback and comfortable space that gets people talking. There’s an 80s Tron-inspired arcade entrance complete with an Abandon Ship photobooth for the nights you don’t want to forget, and a designated Pickle Shack - where you can enjoy craft beer, great shots and even browse exclusive Abandon Ship Apparel merchandise.
Set across two impressive floors, the new restaurant, bar and unique retail concept is adorned with wall to wall street art by creative director, Richard Davies and Instagram moments at every turn.
It features an 80 cover restaurant and bar full of memorable corners that’s home to an imaginative cocktail menu with speciality drinks for every occasion, and complemented with an Americana soul-food menu that’s big on flavour.
Guests can relax on beautiful pastel pink and aqua leather-backed booths and high chairs whilst they soak in the sensory surroundings and atmosphere that includes custom eclectic neon signage, incredible lighting, and stand out design features that include a resin-top sticker bar that pays homage to the evolution of Abandon Ship Apparel with design highlights from their last decade.
Later on in the year, the basement will be home to the ‘Fitting Room’ laden with cool stuff and the new home of Abandon Ship Apparel.
Creative director explains, Richard Davies said: “There is nothing quite like Abandon Ship Bar anywhere. If you love good times, great drinks and cool vibes come and join us as we launch in Glasgow. We’re always looking to innovate with the brand and our new concept is something that all of our team are really proud to be part of. We’ve put blood, sweat and tears into our opening and we can’t wait to show you what we’ve created.”
Abandon Ship Bar will open seven days a week from noon until 1 am from Friday, September 17th and is located at 43 Mitchell St, Glasgow G1 3LA
