Revealing its contemporary menu today (Tuesday, 20th September), the new stand alone 300 cover restaurant, a destination bar and events space will officially open its doors on Friday, 30th September. Operating seven days a week from noon until late and from 10 am on weekends, bookings are now live from www.bothwellhouse.co.uk
Located a short walk from central station, Bothwell House will offer a modern and comfortable dining experience, alongside an imaginative cocktail-led bar in the heart of the city centre.
Blending Middle Eastern and Meditteranean cuisine with Scottish influences, head chef Gary Duncan and his passionate kitchen brigade have created a menu full of exciting signature dishes and modern Scottish fare that offers something for everyone.
Comforting autumnal dishes include a rich, beef cheek and shallot pie with a handmade savoury herb crumb top, creamy mash potato, and glazed heritage carrots. Veggie fans will love the fragrant Marrakesh curry, packed full of seasonal vegetables and slow-cooked with ginger and mustard seeds that are served with jewelled rice and toasted flatbread to scoop up all those flavours.
Seafood is locally sourced from Scottish fishmongers and everything from hand-dived scallops, trout to mackerel featuring on their menus.
From the grill, there’s a selection of premium meats including locally-sourced Scottish steaks, and house-made Greek style lamb kofta kebab and Turkish mushroom shawarma.
Duncan has also put a fresh twist on burgers with Mediterranean influences shining through. A must-try succulent Lebanese fried chicken with a 7-spice crispy coating and za’atar mayo; a spiced veggie falafel gyros, and a smoky signature steak burger with onion jam and house pickles are all served on brioche that won’t disappoint.
Meanwhile, inventive drinks have been carefully crafted by bar manager John Russell and his talented team of bartenders to bring an elevated selection of punchy signature cocktails, classic serves and no and low mocktails and refreshments.
Be it the Violet Femme, What Lies Beneath or Drunk in Love the skilled team has curated an extensive menu of interesting cocktails whatever your tipple of choice from their destination bar.
If you are after a classic, there is an impressive selection ranging from martini, daiquiri and whisky favourites, alongside local craft beers, bespoke wines and independent Scottish spirits.
Jenny Barlow, general manager from Bothwell House said: “Bothwell House has been designed to be a home away from home. It’s full of style and character and truly offers something for everyone. The vibe is friendly and relaxed and we can’t wait for Glasgow to come and enjoy what we’ve created.”
Bothwell House officially opens on September 30th at 12 noon with bookings now open.
