2. Skate On Ice At Elfingrove
Step onto the ice for one of the coolest days out this winter at the UK’s biggest ice rink, as Elfingrove returns to Glasgow.
Described as a ‘world-class ice experience to rival the great cities of the world’, Elfingrove offers skating under the stars at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, and for the wee ones a dedicated toddler rink with the opportunity to skate with Santa himself. Just remember to wear your winter woollies!
This year, Elfingrove will also introduce the UK’s first ever Snow Wheel, a 15m wheel for magical views from the sky, as well as welcome visitors to the Après Skate Bar and Skate Side Dining for a bite to eat whilst providing the best seat in the house to absorb the amazing atmosphere. 3. Visit a Pantomime
The theatre never fails to bring the festive cheer and laughter in December, and Glasgow has no shortage of banter, or Christmas pantomimes!
From family favourites such as Beauty and the Beast at the King’s Theatre and the Magical Adventures of Aladdin at Glasgow Pavilion to smaller local productions, you won’t be short of laughs, joy and merriment after taking a trip to the pantomime this Christmas.
4. Style Mile Christmas Carnival
Heralding the start of the festive season, The Style Mile Carnival promises to sprinkle some sparkle on the city on Sunday 24th November. There will be lots of surprises in store as the procession of over 600 performers bringing the streets alive with fantastic performances, thrilling costumes and festive cheer. This is a date to definitely add to your festival calendar.
5. A Wee Walk Through the Streets
Step outside and enjoy the frosty freshness of winter with a wee walk through Glasgow’s iconic streets. With over 30 murals created by local artists, including Glasgow’s own Billy Connolly, this is your chance to take in the unique street art whilst enjoying the Christmas displays and twinkling lights throughout the city. You’ll meander down historical alleys and under iconic bridges to uncover some of the city’s most beautiful pieces of art that make this city wonderfully vibrant.
6. Cosy down for the night
