Shop the best Arts & Crafts in Scotland at Glasgow Winter Market
The Briggait plays host to its annual Winter Market on the first weekend in December, and features ninety stalls selling some of the best locally created arts and crafts the region has to offer!

Wasps Winter Market is free to attend, open both days from 10am-5pm, and will boast a mix of stalls offering everything from ceramics, jewellery and textiles, greetings cards and original works of art.
Last winter Wasps Winter Market in Glasgow attracted over two thousand visitors and more are expected to visit the growing event this year, particularly as both the St Enoch Square Market and George Square Markets are not being held in 2022.
Vendors at the weekend Winter Market include artists based at The Briggait, which now serves as a creative centre, including Garter, Alan Campbell Art, Jane Martin Glass, cartoonist Frank Boyle and jewellery maker Morna Darling. Sellers from further afield include Velvet Rose Designs, Eve Cockburn Jewellery, Artists’ Tuck Shop! and Spicy Chameleon.
Wasps Chief Executive Officer Audrey Carlin: “Since we’ve been hosting the Winter Market in the convivial surroundings of The Briggait’s 1873 Hall the event gets more popular and in our fourth year we’re expecting our biggest turnout yet. It’s a popular opportunity for attendees to support their local artists and artisans and the artist community participating enjoys engaging with potential customers and showcasing their talents. It’s also makes a go-to destination to pick up something unique for that special festive gift.”
Wasps will be inviting applications for its Summer Market at The Briggait in the spring of 2023. For more information potential vendors are asked to email Projects@waspsstudios.org.uk.
