itison launches Glasgow charity call out

Scottish deals and major events company itison has launched a call out for Glasgow charities to apply for support from itison Us.

itison Us is an initiative that focuses on respite and relief by donating gift experiences that can be enjoyed by the people the charity supports and its volunteers or to help with fundraising.

Over 15,000 experiences have been donated to date since the initiative launched in 2019 and itison, which has also raised £3.4M for Social Bite over the years, is aiming to put a spotlight on smaller charities in the city to showcase the important work they do.

Last year itison Us was proud to support 12 vital Glasgow charities last year including The Baby Loss Retreat, Glasgow Women’s Aid, Glasgow’s Golden Generation, the Moira Anderson Foundation and Ronald McDonald House.

itison carefully selects experiences to suit each charity which can range from overnight stays and family days out to spa days and restaurant vouchers for amazing places like Radisson RED, Gin 71, Moskito, brel and hundreds more.

Charities can then use the vouchers in three ways:
1. To gift to users of the charity and their families who are often going through tough times and need respite and opportunities to smile
2. As a reward and thank you to volunteers who selflessly give up their time to help others
3. To help with fundraising efforts, for example as auction or raffle prizes

Glasgow charities are being urged to apply at www.itison.com/us before the deadline of 26th February 2023 by completing a short online application.

“itison Us is based around providing respite and spreading joy to those who absolutely need and deserve it most.

With headquarters in Glasgow city centre, itison has raised over £3.4 million for Social Bite with an ambitious goal to end homelessness in Scotland, and last year raised £125,000 in partnership with Glasgow the Caring City for its emergency Ukraine appeal.
