The menu, consisting of healthy and popular Japanese street food all served together in a bento box, will launch with an introductory offer with one child aged up to 10 years old eating free for every paying adult. The 'Kids Eat Free' offer will run from Monday 26th June for one week only, before the kids menu being priced at just £6.
Mikaku on Glasgow's Queen Street is known as a popular haunt for parents and their children, boasting of a free soft-play area for children to enjoy as parents slurp a tasty bowl of ramen alongside a delicious cocktail.
The menu was developed by Michelin-starred chef Stephen Donnelly, who retained two Michelin Stars during his tenure at Le Saint-James, Bouliac, France. It features mix-and-match popular Japanese street food including gyozas, chicken teriyaki skewers, katsu curry or ramen options, alongside healthy fruit and vegetables.
The menu includes plenty of choices for young eaters, including katsu curries, ramen, chicken teriyaki, vegetable tempura served alongside side dishes and dessert options.
Commenting, Executive Chef Stephen Donnelly said: "Our most popular request has been a healthy kids menu that young ones will love coming back for, so that their parents can enjoy a great meal in wonderful surroundings - we hope we've been able to provide just that. We can't wait to welcome families to Mikaku, whether returning or for the first time, to experience our truly unique restaurant."
One kids meal will be free per paying adult at Mikaku between 12noon - 8pm daily from Friday 23rd to Thursday 29th June.
