Everyone’s favourite thing about Christmas? No, it’s not the presents or the tree… It’s the food! And we don’t know about you, but we wait all year just to savour our favourite festive flavours, and this year Fat Hippo is once again top of our list! In need of festive fuel for braving the Christmas shopping or a tasty takeaway after getting the tree up, 'tis the season for stuffing your face, right?
It’s always naughty AND nice when it comes to Fat Hippo’s menu, and of course their Christmas festive feasts are certainly no different. Their BurgerLab have been sleigh-ving away to gift us two Christmas burger options to choose from, as well as a Festive Fries side. Be ready to loosen that belt buckle like the big man before you’ve even started!
The return of the ‘Hans Gruber-ger’ tells us exactly where Fat Hippo stand on the ‘Die Hard is a Christmas movie?’ debate. It combines a merry mix of a beef patty, a pork stuffing patty, gooey American cheese, crispy maple-basted Southern fried chicken, cranberry jello and crunchy Christmas ‘slaw. And the bells are ringing out for the ‘Fairytale Of No Pork’ vegan option, starring a Southern fried plant-based patty, gooey deep-fried vegan halloumi, cranberry jello, maple fakon and Christmas ‘slaw. Both burgers served with a hefty portion of their iconic Festive Fries, loaded in liquid cheese, thick gravy and sage seasoning, which are also available to purchase separately.
Fat Hippo Executive Chef, Richard Nelson said: “Ask our staff their favourite Fat Hippo special and there’s an excellent chance it will be the Christmas menu. It’s clearly a fan favourite and we can’t wait to welcome it back this festive season. Scratch the milk and cookies, this is what Santa will be asking for!”
And the festive fun doesn’t stop there, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas party packages! Due to popular demand, Fat Hippo are now offering a tasty alternative to the traditional Christmas work do. Join them between November 8th and December 31st, with a table of 6 or more, to take advantage of their festive feast packages from just £20pp. Time to scrap the dry turkey and bland veggies... And line your stomach with the best burgs at your nearest Hippo instead!
Set your alarms and start the ‘sleeps’ countdown, like a big kid waiting for Santa! The first door can be opened on Wednesday 8th November, as Fat Hippo’s festive flavours return exclusively at all 18 Fat Hippo locations across the UK, as well as Just Eat, UberEats and Deliveroo and on their in-house Click + Collect service.
