In its inaugural year, The Good Food Guide's Best Sunday Roast, sponsored by Koffmann's Potatoes and Tracklements, asked 18'000 thousand diners across the country to vote for their favourite Sunday roast restaurant, with The Loveable Rogue ranking in the UK's Top 50.
Joe and Amalia Lazzerini, independent restaurant owners, initially opened The Loveable Rogue on the city's Great Western Road in 2020. Three successful Rogue sites are now operational on both the west and east sides of the city, as well as a newly opened Strathbungo location.
Their famous Sunday Roast has become a staple on the menu with over 80'000 customers enjoying their Rogue Roast since the restaurant brand's inception. Their 'Rogue Roast' offers tender Speyside Beef, Yorkies, Beef Fat Garlic Roasties, Brisket Mac ‘n’ Cheese, Honey Root Veg, Vegetable Ecrasé and Red Wine Gravy. The menu is available every Sunday from 12pm - 9pm at all three locations priced at £32pp for two courses or three courses for £36pp.
Co-owner Amalia Lazzerini said: “Our team is overjoyed to be included in The Good Food Guides' inaugural Sunday Roast rankings. The Rogue Roast is one of our best-selling dishes at all of our neighbourhood locations, and guests return week after week to enjoy the mighty feast. This ranking is testimony to our Head Chef Joe and all our team who deliver great food and top class service to customers day after day and to be acknowledged for the hard work and consistency with our Sunday Roast is a real achievement for us all.”
The Loveable Rogue was amongst only four restaurants in Scotland to be included in the listings including Porter & Rye in Glasgow, Hawksmoor Edinburgh and Coorie Inn in Perthshire. View the full list here www.thegoodfoodguide.co.uk
