Currently home to Mat Pilates, Group Fitness and Nutrition Coaching, Move Train Eat brought a fresh wellness offering to Glasgow’s City Centre when it opened in October 2024.
New Classes
With new Pilates classes launching specifically for pre-natal women and over 60s in the new year, Mandy invites anyone keen to be involved in choosing the times and days of the classes to join the Private Facebook Group here: www.facebook.com
Following the opening of the studio, which is inside the beautiful Sur Wellness townhouse on West Regent Street, clients of all ages (from 22-73), including ultra marathon runners, desk workers, dancers, yoga lovers, gym-goers, pregnant women, plus some of Glasgow’s favourite influencers – Millennial Menu and HouseofNaf! – have enjoyed Mat Pilates, Group Sculpt and Private online sessions, and urge other people to get involved.
Clients can keep an eye on the timetable and book online at www.movetraineat.com and follow on Instagram @movetraineat for more information. Classes can also be booked through Class Pass.
Lead Pilates Instructor, Mandy Thomson Easton, says: “It’s been an amazing few months since we opened the studio doors and I cannot wait for phase two in the New Year to welcome more people to the world of Mat Pilates.
The beginner and mixed level classes have been busy – showing there is a real need for both, so this offering will continue.
One of my favourite things about the classes is seeing people make friends in the sessions or attend the classes with a loved one. Pilates is such an amazing way to re-connect with your mind and body, and what could be better than experiencing this with an existing or new friend? It’s a healthy habit, only made better by a friendly or like-minded person in class!
I love nothing more than guiding clients through the practice and it thrills me that the love and passion for Pilates is growing so much in Glasgow.”
Nutrition and Pilates packages
For those looking for Nutrition Coaching too, Mandy is a Nutrition and Weight Management Advisor, offering bespoke packages keeping you accountable across both. The Move Train Eat plans have the option of adding group Pilates or private sessions (in person or online) – to ensure you’re not just improving your diet through one to one coaching, but your mind body connection and lifestyle too. There are appointments available from w/c 27th January to find out more or make a plan. Book here: www.movetraineat.com/nutrition
The Move Train Eat studio has space for 8 clients per class and is located on Floor 1 of Sur Wellness, 132 West Regent Street, G2 2RQ. It is equipped with mats and small Pilates equipment, which adds challenge and support to the Mat based exercises. The small classes mean clients will receive hands-on support (if they're happy to!) and have space to move comfortably.
More about Mandy Thomson Easton:
A mum-of-one and former PR Executive, Mandy knows the struggle of 'burn out' and 'juggling it all' very well and aims to provide feel-good, uplifting and community-inspired workouts for all.
Having worked with adults in their 60s who've never focused on their diet before, executives in their 40s and 50s who need flexible check ins and online sessions, and new mums in their 20s and 30s who need to bring their babies along, Mandy understands finding a 'balance' can be difficult and is committed to simplifying healthy living through Move Train Eat's classes and private sessions.
Move Train Eat's first studio space in Glasgow City Centre opened this year, offering Group Sculpt Fitness classes, Strength, Mobility and Stretch Mat Pilates classes, as well as one to one Nutrition and Pilates coaching.
A modern, welcoming and calming space, the studio can comfortably fit 8 participants for every class, with equipment provided. Check out the timetable and we’ll see you there!
You can also find Mandy teaching Mat Pilates online through Zoom classes (bookable through the website), plus at David Lloyd West End and Legs, Bums & Tums at Nuffield Minerva Way, Glasgow.
