Hosted by the hilarious Stephen "Sharpie" Sharp, this show mixes blind dates with improv comedy to create a truly unique and entertaining experience and with monthly dates at both Blackfriars and The Stand in Glasgow there’s plenty opportunity for both love and laughter.
Think First Dates meets Whose Line Is It Anyway?, but with a whole lot more fun and surprises! As both a contestant and part of the audience, you’ll be laughing, cringing, and cheering as you watch two blindfolded singles meet for the very first time.
The night kicks off with the couple meeting on stage for their first date – but there’s a twist! They’re not actors, and they’ve never met before. The moment they take off their blindfolds, the sparks (and the laughs) start to fly. As the couple shares details about their lives, the audience watches, hopes, and maybe even judges – all while Stephen guides the evening with his signature wit and charm.
The comedy crew jumps in next, improvising hilarious sketches inspired by the couple’s date – silly, uplifting, and always in good fun. But that’s not all. During the interval, the audience gets to ask the couple anything they want, with the most outrageous questions getting read out in the second half for the couple to answer on the spot.
Then comes the speed round, where the couple answers rapid-fire questions in just one minute. The comedy crew returns for even more laughs, with familiar characters and moments from earlier in the show. Finally, it’s time for the grand finale – Date or No Date? The audience decides whether the couple should take their connection further or call it quits. You get to be a part of the action, just like a reality show – without the drama and commercial breaks!
Looking for Laughs has become a sell-out sensation, and it's easy to see why. If you love dating shows like Love Island or Love Is Blind, you won’t want to miss this experience. It’s comedy, romance, and surprises all rolled into one unmissable show.
